Uncle Teds organic products are the result of 20 years' passion and labour
The origins of Uncle Teds Organics began over 20 years ago, when Ted Dickin started to formulate a special feed for racing pigeons by adding protected minerals to free access minerals. The result was Pecket's - an extruded feed that improved overall performance, stamina and strength.
Inspired by his success, Ted then set about creating a further range of animal feed products; from mineral compounds to dietary and homeopathic supplements.
Finally, his work led to the study of poultry diets and breeding techniques; undertaking extensive feather, egg and leg analysis.
Experimenting with the compound that would become Orgamin™, a new idea began to take shape that was proven to improve levels of minerals and vitamins in birds, and their overall health.
As word spread about the success of Teds new product, interest flourished and farms throughout the UK started to trial it in their day-to-day production.
In June 2006, Ted was invited to meet with Dr Jones of Devenish Nutrition and, soon after, Orgamin™ entered mass circulation.
The rest, as they say, is history.
